Quality Assurance Lead

By tackling inefficiencies in the food system, the team helps save an average of 500,000 pounds of food per week from waste.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment following state and local regulations for food-based facilities
• Perform final QA inspections on outbound customer orders for missing, damaged, or improperly packed items
• Document and maintain accurate records of all food products, including discarded and damaged items
• Identify and report potential food safety or quality problems to supervisors
• Use heatmap data to identify and address packing errors upstream in the production line
• Document and maintain records of all picking errors, including missing or out-of-stock items
• Manage time and changing priorities to minimize downtime
• Train new team members according to company processes
• Serve as backup to QC Supervisor and QC Lead

Requirements

• Authorized to work in the United States
• Experience or comfort working in a refrigerated environment (36 degrees)
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Willingness to work overtime and/or weekends if needed
• Ability to thrive in a repetitive and fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively
• Ability to stand, squat, kneel, and bend repetitively

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Experience working in a food-based environment
