About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform materials testing and fabrication inspection services
- Ensure materials and products conform to DDC specifications and contract requirements
- Inspect materials at manufacturing plants and conduct audits at testing laboratories
- Witness tests and prepare detailed reports
- Review drawings, applicable standards, and material testing requests
- Coordinate inspection and testing services performed by consultants
- Review material test results and consultant reports
- Audit, review, and approve vendors
Requirements
- High school diploma and five years of experience managing/inspecting construction projects (min $300,000 cost per year)
- OR a baccalaureate degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management plus one year of relevant experience
- OR a valid license as a professional engineer, registered architect, or registered landscape architect plus one year of relevant experience
- Valid New York State motor vehicle driver license
- Must meet specific civil service criteria for Construction Project Manager title or exam lists
