Quality Assurance Functional Associate

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate testing for projects and releases
• Assess UAT projects to determine release risks and application impact
• Design UAT test plans and review test documentation including functions, test cases, and scripts
• Schedule and approve project releases into the UAT environment
• Execute complex test plans and coordinate resources and environments daily
• Assess UAT test results and work with development groups to resolve defects
• Provide hands-on training and coaching to junior analysts on systems, methodology, and standards
• Ensure business and technical requirements are fulfilled during the software development life cycle

Requirements

• 1-3 years of practical hands-on experience as a QA Tester
• Proven experience in software quality assurance
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience writing clear and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Practical experience writing SQL queries for data validation
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Practical experience using JIRA
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, IT Business/Management, or an engineering discipline
• Experience with automated testing tools
• Experience with performance or security testing
