Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed Control Plans from technical drawings to define part verification and maintenance.
• Participate in engineering drawing reviews to ensure specifications are clear, measurable, and compliant.
• Identify recurring supply issues caused by design flaws and collaborate with engineers on technical solutions.
• Analyze production Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) to identify supply chain deviations.
• Conduct deep-dive root cause investigations to distinguish between material defects and design flaws.
• Manage stock health by performing urgent sweeps to isolate non-conforming parts and executing recalls.
• Support the design and sourcing of custom test rigs for complex electronic components.
• Develop technical training checklists and manage competency approvals for quality-related tasks.

Requirements

• Technical degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 1–3 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Supply Chain Quality, preferably in Defense, Aerospace, or Automotive.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.
• Expert ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Proficiency in Quality Management tools including Control Plans, FMEA, and Root Cause Analysis (5-Why, Fishbone).
• High precision in technical writing for reports and procedures.
• Fluency in English; German is a strong advantage.
• Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of NATO AQAP or Aerospace (EN 9100/AS9100) quality requirements.
• Experience using ERP systems for stock isolation and QM modules for reporting.
• Strong assertiveness and the ability to challenge designs when quality is at risk.
