Quality Assurance Engineer

About the Company

Rune Technologies builds mission-critical software for military logistics and sustainment. Our flagship product is TyrOS, an AI-enabled logistics command and control platform that gives commanders a single, real-time operating picture of their sustainment fight.

Responsibilities

• Own quality across the TyrOS software development lifecycle
• Review pull requests by validating testing evidence and verifying functionality
• Build, maintain, and expand Playwright end-to-end test suites
• Design automated tests to reduce manual regression testing
• Execute release regression testing to ensure production readiness
• Perform non-functional testing including performance, accessibility, and data integrity
• Partner with software engineers during feature planning to identify testing strategies
• Establish QA metrics, documentation, and repeatable processes

Requirements

• 2+ years of QA, Test Automation, or SDET experience
• Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium
• Experience building and maintaining automated testing suites
• Ability to read application code (Go and/or TypeScript/React is a plus)
• Strong understanding of regression testing and release validation
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment
• Excellent written communication for bug reports and documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in defense technology or highly regulated industries
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Kubernetes-based deployment environments
• Experience with accessibility, performance, and load testing
• Experience validating APIs and backend services
