Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities

• Engage with requirements and acceptance criteria early to identify gaps and edge cases
• Write and maintain automated test suites for UI, API, contract, and integration layers using TypeScript and Puppeteer
• Use AI tooling for test design, data generation, and debugging
• Run security testing tools and accessibility checks (OWASP Top 10 and manual a11y validation)
• Maintain quality gates in CI/CD pipelines and monitor production alerts post-deployment
• Document defects with detailed reproduction steps and collaborate with developers on resolutions
• Track and report on quality metrics like defect escape rate and test coverage
• Participate in sprint planning and partner with product and DevOps teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3–8 years of experience in software quality engineering
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript and Puppeteer
• Experience with third-party API integration and automated test suites
• Experience working in CI/CD environments
• Working knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and security testing tools
• Experience with accessibility tooling and manual validation
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Demonstrated use of AI tooling for testing tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cross-browser and cross-platform testing
• Experience mentoring junior QA engineers
• Familiarity with observability tooling and production monitoring dashboards
• ISTQB Advanced certification
• Postman API Certification
• Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress certification
