About the role
Responsibilities
- Support quality assurance activities for Printed Wiring Boards (PWBs), Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), wire harnesses, and mechanical components.
- Review technical documentation, including engineering drawings and customer requirements, to determine product acceptance criteria.
- Investigate product and process nonconformances, supporting root cause analysis and driving corrective/preventive actions.
- Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities and support the timely disposition of nonconforming material.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes.
- Support supplier quality initiatives, including performance reviews, nonconformance trends, and source inspection activities.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation such as inspection criteria, procedures, and work instructions.
- Assist with site calibration tracking and coordination of equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience, OR Graduate Degree and minimum 2 years of prior related experience, OR minimum 8 years of prior related experience.
- Ability to travel up to 20% for supplier visits and source inspections.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in quality engineering or manufacturing within an electronics or electro-mechanical environment.
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and/or IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience working in an AS9100D and/or ISO 9001 certified manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting government, military, aerospace, or law enforcement products.
- Proficiency with standard inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and microscopes.
- Familiarity with Costpoint ERP and TIPQA quality management systems.
