Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive the sustainment and development of electro-mechanical assemblies through APQP and DFM tasks
• Perform quality engineering functions including developing plans, flow charts, and inspection methods
• Conduct supplier quality audits, source inspections, and First Article Inspections
• Lead Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) investigations to address nonconformance
• Interpret and flow down customer quality requirements to engineering and manufacturing teams
• Utilize metrics and statistical sampling techniques to drive process improvement and early defect detection
• Act as the Quality Subject Matter Expert (SME) on program and design teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 6+ years of Quality Engineering experience (or equivalent experience combination)
• 6+ years of experience reading and interpreting complex electrical and mechanical drawings
• 6+ years of experience with problem-solving tools such as 8D, APQP, and CAPA
• Ability to travel up to 25% to supplier facilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Aerospace or Defense manufacturing
• Familiarity with ISO9001, AS9145, AS9102, or IPC Workmanship Standards
• Experience with Underwater Acoustics, Telemetry, Communications, or Radar technologies
• ASQ® Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification
• Active Secret security clearance
