Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collate, analyze and monitor company process and quality metrics
• Write technical reports regarding quality levels and costs
• Optimize manufacturability, assembly, and testability of components
• Implement PFMEA and new program tooling to mitigate risk
• Conduct internal and external Corrective Actions
• Maintain and report department KPIs
• Facilitate problem solving techniques within production and supplier teams
• Perform internal audits and resolve non-conformances
• Develop robust predictive quality systems using Six Sigma, SPC, and GRR

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering or a related discipline
• 2-3+ years of experience in quality assurance
• Working knowledge of switchgear systems and standards (UL 891, UL 1558, IEEE C37)
• Solid background in Six Sigma methodology (Green Belt minimum)
• Experience with UL/CSA and ISO 9001 QMS Systems
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of IPC-620
