About the role
Responsibilities
- Collate, analyze and monitor company process and quality metrics
- Author technical reports regarding quality levels and costs
- Optimize manufacturability, assembly, and testability of components and final products
- Implement PFMEA and new program tooling to mitigate risk
- Ensure manufacturing processes meet customer and industry specifications
- Conduct internal and external corrective actions
- Maintain and report department KPIs
- Facilitate problem-solving techniques within production and supplier teams
- Develop robust predictive quality systems using Six Sigma, SPC, and GRR
- Perform internal audits and resolve non-conformances
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering or a related discipline
- 3+ years of experience in quality assurance
- Working knowledge of switchgear systems and power distribution standards (UL 891, UL 1558, IEEE C37)
- Experience with UL/CSA and ISO 9001 QMS Systems
- Solid background in Six Sigma methodology (Green Belt minimum)
- Experience with manufacturing and testing equipment for electrical connectors and harnesses
- Proficiency in SolidWorks
- Knowledge of IPC-620
