About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop quality assurance data packages for customer review
  • Review and approve bills of material and purchase requisitions related to assigned projects
  • Review component certifications to ensure full compliance with purchase order requirements
  • Evaluate contractual requirements in specifications and drawings with a focus on quality
  • Ensure 100% quality and regulatory compliance in accordance with documented procedures
  • Provide subject matter expertise to internal customers, external customers, and suppliers
  • Review, evaluate, and answer customer correspondence
  • Participate in the preparation and maintenance of the quality manual and related procedures
  • Evaluate in-process rejections, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Perform internal audits and identify potential project quality issues

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 standards
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with auditing processes
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of basic engineering and materials science principles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the Nuclear Navy or Nuclear Power Industry
  • Familiarity with rotating machinery
  • Experience in other regulated industries such as aerospace, transportation, or biotech
