Quality Assurance Engineer 1

Responsibilities

• Evaluate incoming, in-process, and outgoing product quality for compliance with established standards
• Perform daily quality checks and random sampling to monitor production operations
• Master the operation of quality test equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results
• Identify, resolve, and confirm countermeasure effectiveness for non-conforming product issues
• Manage rejected products, materials, and equipment that do not meet specifications
• Work with cross-functional teams of engineers, technicians, and operators to resolve complex problems and prevent recurrence
• Maintain high standards of workmanship by monitoring manufacturing process capabilities
• Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Fire regulations
• Maintain worksite cleanliness in accordance with 5S standards

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology
• 0 to 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing-related role or equivalent relevant experience
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities
• Excellent technical communication skills, including verbal and written presentations
• Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments with hands-on equipment support
• Flexibility to work adjusted shifts and ability to travel up to 20% (domestic and/or international)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a quality or manufacturing role within a fast-paced environment (including internships or co-ops)
• Knowledge of battery production, IATF16949 standards, Minitab, Six Sigma, or 8D problem-solving methodology
• Proficiency in Korean and English, or Korean, English, and Japanese
