Quality Assurance Director

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the overarching Quality Assurance and compliance strategy for the Apparel product lifecycle
• Provide leadership to Merchandising, Sourcing, and Product Development teams to resolve quality concerns
• Ensure apparel products adhere to design intent, craftsmanship standards, and global regulatory compliance
• Direct the application of quality tools like FMEA, Six Sigma, and Root Cause Analysis
• Establish global Test Protocols, inspection standards, and sampling methodologies for textiles
• Oversee testing and inspection plans across internal teams, manufacturing partners, and third-party labs
• Manage strategic relationships with global suppliers and manufacturing partners
• Drive defect reduction and continuous improvement initiatives through company-wide quality KPIs
• Build and mentor a high-performing team of Quality Assurance and Compliance professionals

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance
• 3-5 years in a Director-level or senior leadership role within the Apparel industry
• Proven experience in an online apparel retail environment
• Deep expertise in fabric and textile science, garment construction, and manufacturing processes
• Experience managing inspection and quality control processes at scale globally
• Proficiency in implementing product testing protocols using AQL standards
• Expert knowledge of FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, Statistical Process Control, and Six Sigma
• Strong understanding of Total Quality Management (TQM) principles
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop professional quality teams
