Quality Assurance Associate

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily walk-throughs of assigned coolers to check product quality and identify issues
• Check product dates to ensure proper rotation
• Remove distressed product and determine items for reworking or discarding
• Rework all distressed or damaged products as needed
• Communicate quality issues, lost products, or transfers to buyers, management, and associates
• Ensure all inventory is properly blocked and labeled
• Inspect products on production lines and notify line leads of any issues
• Identify products according to size, origin, and count

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of related experience
• Ability to operate warehouse power equipment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 80 lbs infrequently
• Ability to manually inspect produce efficiently for extended periods
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Professional interaction skills with team members and management

Preferred Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Knowledge of the produce industry
• Understanding of shipping procedures in a high-volume warehouse environment
• Solid understanding of produce varieties handled in wholesale operations
