About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) to comply with Mars Global Quality Standards.
  • Lead the site Food Safety, Food Fraud, and Food Defense teams to ensure continuous compliance.
  • Develop and implement technical and procedural control measures and training programs for the shop floor.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects using Lean tools such as PDCA.
  • Manage the CAPA process, document control, and external certification requirements (FSSC, Organic, Non-GMO).
  • Lead bi-annual traceability and mock recall exercises.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for incident management and problem-solving related to food safety and quality.
  • Support site operations with troubleshooting and operational issues.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Engineering, Chemistry, or an equivalent field.
  • 4+ years of experience in a Food Manufacturing environment (Quality, Food Safety, Engineering, or Product/Process development).
  • Strong knowledge of Food Safety, Hygiene, and Microbiology.
  • Experience with regulatory audit compliance, including FDA, CFIA, and GFSI standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
  • Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS degree in a relevant scientific or engineering field.
  • Familiarity with food manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
