Responsibilities

  • Perform daily monitoring and review of internal laboratory quality controls, evaluating accuracy, precision, blanks, and other established controls.
  • Evaluate daily conformity of routine blind samples and immediately report detected deviations to the Quality Supervisor or Coordinator.
  • Periodically verify the correct filling, review, control, and closure of technical records, ensuring the use of current formats and compliance with applicable procedures.
  • Prepare, verify, and standardize/factorize chemical solutions and calibration or verification standards.
  • Perform routine preparation and insertion of blind samples in chemical assays for geology, shift, copper dispatch, and molybdenum dispatch.
  • Collect, consolidate, and verify information required for quality reports, indicators, and analytical performance.
  • Execute review, coding, and updating of equipment life sheets, tracking preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Manage assay and re-assay folders in the Starlims system.
  • Organize labeling, registration, and shipment of samples for inter-laboratory controls and proficiency testing.
  • Control inventory, validity, storage, and traceability of reference materials, standards, and critical reagents.
  • Provide training to new personnel regarding quality procedures.
  • Organize technical information and evidence for audits, technical visits, and accreditation processes.

Requirements

  • Technical degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Metallurgical Processes, or related fields.
  • Bachelor's degree in Pure Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related sciences.
  • Resident of Arequipa.
  • 1 year of experience in similar positions.
  • Knowledge of ISO 17025, ISO 12743, ISO 10251, and ISO 11794 (desirable).
  • Availability to work on an 8x8 shift regime.
