About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure accuracy and completion of Presage checks for all departments and report issues to site leadership
- Support Quality Control and Quality Systems training videos and partner with Training to upload materials into the FEED learning management system
- Identify and address potential food safety, compliance, and regulatory issues from documentation, lab results, processing parameters, and observations
- Drive laboratory continuous improvement activities including 5S integration and quality systems integration
- Order laboratory and quality-related equipment, supplies, and services
- Coordinate quality new hire orientation and deliver training on quality management systems and laboratory equipment SOPs
- Support the site calibration program by maintaining lab equipment and plant scale records in Compu Cal software
- Create and maintain the Glass and Brittle Plastics Schedule and support internal audit programs such as GMP and internal audits
- Maintain confidential records and manage the record retention program for required process documentation
- Follow all safety policies, work policies, and Good Manufacturing Practices
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; previous laboratory testing recommended but not required
- Better Process Control School and PCQI certification required within 6 months
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently with professional demeanor
- Effective verbal and written communication across cross-functional teams
- Intermediate computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, and WMS
- Self-starter capable of completing assignments with broad direction and minimal supervision
- Knowledge of materials management techniques
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work 40-45 hours per week
