Qualified Operator

Responsibilities

• Assist the Shift Manager in driving and maintaining installation performance
• Manage the pit: store, mix waste correctly, and feed furnace hoppers using a grab
• Monitor and clear unloading docks
• Perform surveillance rounds, record parameters, and identify equipment anomalies
• Execute electrical and hydraulic lockouts
• Perform maintenance, routine upkeep, and operational maneuvers
• Record operations in logs, computer files, or CMMS
• Alert the Shift Manager to any encountered problems
• Perform weighing of incoming and outgoing materials
• Participate in drafting procedures
• Respect safety and environmental rules

Requirements

• Professional Baccalaureate in a technical field (electromechanics, mechanics, automation, maintenance, etc.)
• Or 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience in industry or shift work is a plus
• Technical skills in electromechanics, mechanics, automation, maintenance, chemistry, or electricity
• Ability to operate construction machinery and overhead cranes (CACES training provided)
• Team player with good communication skills
• Rigorous, organized, and autonomous
