About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide basic care to patients and assist with daily activities
- Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and report to nursing staff
- Collect and record vital information regarding patient treatment
Requirements
- Certified Qualified Medication Assistant in the State of Indiana
- Completion of Resident Care Assistant and Medication Assistant training
- Completion of 60-hour QMA course and 40-hour practicum
- Successful passing of the QMA exam
- Registered with State Department of Public Instruction
- Meet all Nurse Assistant qualifications
- Proven experience as a resident care assistant
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to pass a required physical examination
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in long-term care settings
