QPU Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own and improve specific wafer fabrication processes in a cleanroom environment
• Operate tools and optimize processes to enhance qubit coherence and signal routing performance
• Design and execute experiments to test new processes, eliminate issues, or optimize existing ones
• Take a data-driven approach to process engineering, driving process control and continuous improvement
• Produce concise technical reports from process activities to inform future design iterations
• Collaborate with Production, Development, Materials, and Equipment teams across all fabrication phases
• Track wafer WIP using MES systems, Jira, and Confluence
• Coordinate with Equipment Engineers and vendors to maintain tools in optimal condition
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and cleanroom operational standards

Requirements

• 2–3 years of tool operation experience in a wafer production or cleanroom environment
• Hands-on expertise in dry etching, including related process control and troubleshooting
• Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field (PhD is an advantage)
• Solid understanding of SPC (Statistical Process Control), MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis), and DOE (Design of Experiments)
• Proficiency with data analysis tools such as JMP or Minitab
• Proficiency with MES systems, Jira, and standard office tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and EHS standards
• Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles
