QC Microbiologist III

Responsibilities

• Perform routine Environmental Monitoring of classified clean rooms and monitor them during manufacturing operations
• Sample and test Water for Injection, USP Purified Water, and Clean Steam systems
• Document plate reads for all environmental and utility testing with minimal supervision
• Write and execute protocols, experiments, and SOPs
• Review the work of peers and manage SOP document changes
• Prepare investigations, reports, and execute complex protocols
• Conduct visual inspection of media fill vials and plates
• Perform general laboratory maintenance, housekeeping, and staff training

Requirements

• High School Diploma required; BS/BA in Microbiology or a related scientific field is preferred
• 7-9 years of experience in a cGMP environment (Note: Degree equivalencies apply)
• Ability to gown for an ISO-5 environment
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work varied hours (Mon-Fri, 3:30 PM - 12 AM) as required by the production schedule
• Strong organizational, detail-oriented, and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with laboratory equipment and computer systems
