QC Microbiologist III/Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor less experienced staff in performing daily job tasks and ensure proper training within the team.
• Oversee and perform routine Environmental Monitoring of classified clean rooms.
• Manage sampling and testing for Water for Injection (WFI) systems, USP Purified Water systems, and Clean Steam systems.
• Oversee laboratory work, including plate reads, utility testing, and growth promotion of media.
• Perform peer reviews of quality control data and execute complex protocols.
• Identify, document, and investigate deviations from normal operations.
• Review and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain laboratory housekeeping.
• Ensure adherence to all safety procedures and proactively identify potential risks.

Requirements

• High school Diploma, GED, or equivalent credential.
• 7-9 years of experience working within a cGMP environment.
• Ability to gown for work in an ISO-5 environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and people management skills.
• Proficiency with laboratory equipment and computer systems.
• Ability to work varied hours as required by the production schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

• AS or BS degree in Microbiology or a related scientific field.
