QC Manager

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Sourcing, and Merchandising to embed quality checkpoints early in the process
• Lead supplier quality and compliance assessments and guide suppliers on best practices
• Interpret in-process and analytical data to make quality evaluations and recommend improvements
• Perform on-site supervision of supplier QC personnel or conduct troubleshooting and continuous improvement actions
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues
• Resolve quality-related issues with stakeholders and implement corrective actions
• Address customer complaints related to product quality and suggest remedies to suppliers
• Monitor quality metrics to reduce return percentages
• Utilize data-analysis tools such as SPC and Pareto Charts to drive process improvement
• Support the implementation of the Quality Management System with HQ Quality Assurance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or a relevant field
• 8+ years of proven experience in quality control, ideally in furniture or home goods
• Experience in a manufacturing environment or field quality
• Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, tools, and best practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-partner collaboration
• Ability to travel more than 50% of the time
• Proficiency in auditing, corrective actions, and root cause analysis
• Demonstrated ability to assess regulatory compliance issues
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Furniture and hardgoods industry-specific experience or tools
• Direct-to-consumer, retail, or e-commerce background
