QC Inspector II

Responsibilities

• Perform destructive and non-destructive testing on raw materials and components using precision measuring instruments such as Micrometers, Dial Calipers, Pin Gauges, and Instron.
• Read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Execute accepted/rejected activities for raw materials and components within SAP.
• Conduct first article inspections on new parts and components.
• Perform functional acceptance testing on products according to applicable procedures.
• Provide guidance on lab and product-related issues to Study Coordinators and Supplier Quality Engineers.
• Train other inspectors on various inspection procedures and test methods.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or BS degree in Science, Math, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a quality function or a BS degree.
• Working knowledge of sampling plans similar to ANSI/ASQ Z-1.4 and C=0.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments and perform basic math in all units of measure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an FDA-regulated environment or medical device industry.
• Experience using SAP and Information Mapping.
• Certified Quality Technician (CQT) designation.
