QA/QC Inspector

Responsibilities

• Ensure QA and QC activities are implemented according to company and client standards
• Develop, implement, and manage all aspects of quality assurance within the region
• Monitor activities for deviations from specification and ensure appropriate resolution
• Develop and monitor project quality plans and subcontractor compliance
• Liaise with Purchasing and Operations to establish quality requirements for suppliers
• Communicate and coordinate to address customer quality concerns
• Write and maintain quality management documents including manuals, policies, and procedures
• Interface with regulators and client auditors to ensure ongoing compliance

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Civil/Electrical Engineering, Technologist, or Construction Management
• Or Red Seal Journeyman with 2+ years of office experience
• 5-7 years of QA/QC experience implementing Quality Programs
• 5-7 years in a similar QA/QC Inspector role
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Project, and Excel)
• Knowledge of site safety procedures and electrical safety standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Canadian Building Codes, CSA, and ASTM codes
• Quality Inspector Certification (ASQ)
• Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC)
• Experience preparing final turnover packages and O&M manuals
• Construction Safety Certifications (Confined Space, Fall Arrest, WHMIS, First Aid, Ground Disturbance)
