QA Technician

Responsibilities

• Test product samples to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with specifications
• Audit production and packaging for accuracy in shape, storage, labeling, and coding
• Identify and manage non-conforming products and food safety hazards
• Investigate issues and recommend effective solutions
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and retention samples
• Proactively identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as crouching, kneeling, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods
• Ability to work in dusty, high heat, or high humidity environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a food-related field (Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, etc.)
• Previous experience in quality assurance testing
