About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve analytical methods for GC, GCMS, and UHPLC laboratory areas
- Lead analytical investigations related to product quality deviations, process control, and contamination events
- Interpret complex instrument data to drive process and product improvements
- Develop and provide technical training and mentoring to analytical and production team members
- Own data integrity and review, including raw data, method/SOP audits, and daily verifications
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Production, and R&D teams to support process optimization
- Champion LIMS applications for sample management and data integration
- Ensure compliance with company QMS and applicable standards such as ISO 17025 concepts
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in analytical chemistry, preferably in the food or beverage industry
- Proven expertise with GCMS, GC_ECD, UHPLC, and ICP technologies
- Proficiency with instrument software including MassHunter, Open Lab, and ICP expert
- Strong expertise in analytical method development, validation, and troubleshooting
- Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Chemistry is preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data to cross-functional teams
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including stooping, climbing, and reaching
