QA Senior Scientist - Analytical Chemistry

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve analytical methods for GC, GCMS, and UHPLC laboratory areas
• Lead analytical investigations related to product quality deviations, process control, and contamination events
• Interpret complex instrument data to drive process and product improvements
• Develop and provide technical training and mentoring to analytical and production team members
• Own data integrity and review, including raw data, method/SOP audits, and daily verifications
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Production, and R&D teams to support process optimization
• Champion LIMS applications for sample management and data integration
• Ensure compliance with company QMS and applicable standards such as ISO 17025 concepts

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in analytical chemistry, preferably in the food or beverage industry
• Proven expertise with GCMS, GC_ECD, UHPLC, and ICP technologies
• Proficiency with instrument software including MassHunter, Open Lab, and ICP expert
• Strong expertise in analytical method development, validation, and troubleshooting
• Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Chemistry is preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data to cross-functional teams
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including stooping, climbing, and reaching
