QA/QC Engineer - HVAC

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement QA/QC plans and procedures in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Prepare, review, and submit material technical data sheets and method statements
• Conduct inspections and testing of materials and installations to ensure compliance with approved standards
• Maintain accurate documentation for quality records, inspections, test results, and compliance tracking
• Prepare and respond to project documentation including WIR, MIR, MAR, ITPs, and NCRs
• Coordinate with project managers and subcontractors to identify quality issues and implement corrective actions
• Analyze quality data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement
• Provide training and guidance on quality control procedures to site teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in QA/QC roles within the HVAC industry
• Strong knowledge of mechanical standards including SMACNA, ASHRAE, NFPA, NEBB, UMC, ASME, ASTM, IPC, and UPC
• Proficiency in QA/QC tools, documentation systems, and analytical techniques
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
• Effective communication and coordination skills across cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with risk-based thinking in line with ISO standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant quality certifications such as ISO 9001 or Six Sigma
