QA/QC Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Manage daily QA/QC responsibilities to ensure construction meets project requirements, codes, and standards
• Perform regular surveillance audits, site walkdowns, and inspections to identify non-conformities
• Review, approve, and develop Inspection and Testing Plans (ITP) and associated checklists
• Monitor and evaluate subcontractor performance and documentation
• Support internal and external ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 audit programs
• Manage the material receiving process to ensure conformance with approved submittals
• Review quality records for accuracy and manage the disposition of nonconforming reports
• Provide guidance to Quality Inspectors and Field Technicians

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Business, or Quality discipline
• 4+ years of experience in Quality or a related field
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) certification
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards
• Knowledge of Canadian Building Codes, CSA, and ASTM
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint)
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and navigate construction site terrain

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with problem-solving methodologies and Root Cause Analysis (e.g., Six Sigma)
• Understanding of fire-related construction requirements
