QA Performance Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, and spike tests using Apache JMeter
• Analyze application performance and identify bottlenecks across application, database, and infrastructure layers
• Define performance testing strategies, workload models, and acceptance criteria
• Create reusable and maintainable JMeter test scripts for web applications, REST APIs, and microservices
• Monitor application performance using APM and infrastructure monitoring tools during test execution
• Analyze test results and prepare detailed performance reports with root cause analysis
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to resolve performance issues
• Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous performance testing
• Validate system scalability, stability, and reliability under peak workloads

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in performance testing and engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Apache JMeter
• Experience designing and executing load, stress, endurance, and spike tests
• Experience testing REST APIs, web applications, and microservices
• Strong understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, WebSockets, and API performance testing
• Experience analyzing server-side metrics such as CPU, memory, disk I/O, and network utilization
• Knowledge of SQL for database validation and performance analysis
• Familiarity with APM tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, Grafana, or Prometheus
• Experience integrating performance tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI)
• Strong scripting knowledge using Groovy or BeanShell in JMeter
• Experience with Git and version control
