QA Lead

Responsibilities

• Define and own the end-to-end QA strategy, roadmap, and execution model for large-scale digital platform modernization.
• Lead QA planning and execution across cloud-native microservices, API layers, and third-party integrations.
• Design test strategies for event-driven architectures, asynchronous systems, and API gateways.
• Drive automation-first practices by building scalable frameworks for API, UI, integration, and contract testing.
• Establish continuous testing pipelines integrated with CI/CD workflows to enable progressive release testing.
• Lead performance, load, and stress testing to validate system scalability during peak transaction volumes.
• Implement observability-driven QA practices using logs, metrics, and distributed tracing for proactive defect detection.
• Mentor QA engineers, establish test standards, and provide transparent reporting on quality metrics and risks to stakeholders.

Requirements

• 10-15 years of experience in Quality Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in a QA leadership role for enterprise-scale platforms.
• Expertise in testing microservices, REST APIs, API gateways, and event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, RestAssured, or Postman/Newman.
• Proven experience with CI/CD-based continuous testing models (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS DevOps).
• Strong experience testing cloud-native platforms on AWS, including containerized and serverless workloads.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience validating loyalty platforms (Paytronix preferred), identity systems, and digital commerce workflows.
• Deep understanding of e-commerce funnels, payment workflows, and customer engagement journeys.
• Experience with performance, resiliency, chaos, and security testing strategies.
• Exposure to OpenTelemetry and distributed tracing platforms.
• Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or SAFe environments.
• Background in QSR, retail, or high-scale consumer digital ecosystems.
