QA Lead - API Testing

Responsibilities

• Design and implement API test strategies aligned with Agile delivery and business requirements
• Develop and execute automated API tests using SmartBear ReadyAPI and Groovy scripting
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and version control systems
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on defects identified across SIT, E2E, and integration cycles
• Build and maintain automation artifacts including test data, stubs, harnesses, and configurations
• Lead test execution, reporting, and quality governance across releases
• Mentor team members and drive best practices in API testing and automation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery and provide defect insights

Requirements

• Hands-on expertise in API Testing using SmartBear ReadyAPI
• Experience with Groovy scripting for ReadyAPI automation
• Strong knowledge of REST / JSON services and HTML
• Proven experience in test design, execution, and defect management lifecycle
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or ALM
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Jenkins
• Experience working with tracking and reporting tools such as Azure DevOps
• Strong understanding of Software Development methodologies and Agile testing
