QA Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Collect samples and perform physical and microbiological testing on raw ingredients, packaging, and finished dairy products.
• Monitor production areas to inspect product quality and ensure adherence to established specifications.
• Identify and communicate out-of-specification results and recommend corrective and preventative actions (CAPA).
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory testing equipment and prepare necessary stock solutions.
• Perform environmental control swabbing and maintain accurate QC records and data entry.
• Support internal and external audits, mock recalls, and consumer complaint investigations.
• Comply with all Quality Assurance Procedures (QAP), federal, state, and local dairy food regulations.

Requirements

• Experience with food quality specifications, physical/analytical testing, and process control monitoring.
• Working understanding of food manufacturing standards including SQF, HACCP, GMP, and SOP.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment involving noise, changing temperatures, and standing/walking for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 40-lbs unassisted frequently throughout the shift.
• Ability to pass and maintain specific State regulatory licensing and certification requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with a concentration in Food or Dairy Science.
• Advanced quality or food safety training and/or certifications.
