QA Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Gather samples and analyze finished products against customer specifications and HACCP requirements
• Conduct routine floor audits of production and packaging areas to ensure correct product shapes, storage, and labeling
• Complete multiple quality analysis tests and communicate results to operations and warehouse staff
• Maintain accurate documentation of analyzed products, including logging, storage, and expiration monitoring
• Identify food safety hazards and perform inspections of incoming ingredients and outgoing finished goods
• Hold non-conforming products and coordinate with departments regarding their disposition
• Partner with leadership to identify continuous improvement opportunities in safety, quality, and sanitation

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform physical tasks including crouching, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working in dusty or high-heat environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a food-related field such as Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biochemistry
• Previous experience in quality assurance testing
• Work experience with DGPC and knowledge of DGPC products and procedures
