QA Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Test samples to ensure product quality, safety, and specification compliance
• Audit production and packaging for accuracy in shapes, specifications, storage, packaging, labeling, and coding
• Identify and manage non-conforming products and food safety hazards, ensuring issues are investigated and recommending solutions
• Maintain records, documentation, and retention samples
• Proactively identify and execute on continuous improvement opportunities

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as crouching, kneeling, stooping, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods
• Ability to work in dusty, high heat, and high humidity environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a food-related field (Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, etc.)
• Previous experience in quality assurance testing
