QA Engineer (Web)

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and functional testing of web applications and portals
• Prepare and execute test cases, test scripts, and regression test suites
• Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA or Azure DevOps
• Validate UI functionality, performance, and usability across browsers
• Assist in preparing test plans and test data for assigned modules
• Maintain detailed documentation of test results and status reports
• Work closely with developers and business analysts to clarify requirements
• Participate in sprint ceremonies including planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• Support UAT testing with business users
• Write simple scripts for smoke or regression tests if applicable

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in software testing
• Hands-on experience with functional, UI, and regression testing
• Familiarity with JIRA, TestRail, or similar QA management systems
• Basic knowledge of SQL for backend validation
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery cycles
• Strong analytical and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline
• Exposure to GIS or map-based applications
• Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or Swagger
• Interest in learning automation frameworks such as Selenium or Cypress
