QA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test cases, scenarios, and test data based on product requirements and business logic
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing to ensure product quality
• Identify, log, track, and verify bugs using defect tracking tools like Jira
• Write and maintain UI automation tests using Playwright with Java or TypeScript
• Perform API testing using Postman or REST clients to validate payloads, status codes, and error handling
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and participate in requirement reviews

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in software testing or relevant internship experience
• Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies and software testing fundamentals
• Hands-on or academic experience with Playwright (Java or TypeScript)
• Knowledge of API testing, REST APIs, and JSON
• Proficiency with Git/version control and a basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with SDLC and STLC processes
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, or Java
• Exposure to performance and load testing using tools like Apache JMeter
• Familiarity with Linux commands
