QA Engineer – Manual Testing (Automation Exposure)

Responsibilities

• Perform manual, functional, and other types of testing for ISS applications and services
• Review requirements, create, execute, and document comprehensive test cases
• Plan and design test suites for the underlying infrastructure of governance applications
• Report and track bugs using JIRA to ensure timely resolution
• Collaborate with Product Management and Development teams to ensure products meet business specifications
• Troubleshoot and debug errors to identify root causes and coordinate fixes
• Contribute to Java automation development using Java and Selenium (approximately 20-30% of the role)
• Maintain and fix existing or newly created automation frameworks

Requirements

• BE, B.Tech, or MCA in Computer Science or a related discipline
• 4-7 years of experience in manual and automation testing
• Proficiency in Java or another Object-Oriented Programming Language (OOPL)
• Experience with RDBMS and SQL (MS SQL Server experience is a plus)
• Hands-on experience with JIRA or similar defect tracking systems
• Experience working within a Linux OS environment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Computer Science
• Experience with web application testing
• Prior experience working within a global development organization
