About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute manual and automated testing by writing scripts and creating automation scenarios
- Document and plan test cases for regression, integration, and automation
- Write test automation scripts using Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#
- Troubleshoot existing automation and optimize the automation framework
- Support functional validation and sprint activities
- Communicate with development and product teams to ensure proper test coverage
- Identify, report, and work to resolve defects
- Lead scrum test teams and mentor junior team members
Requirements
- 5-12 years of experience in Testing, SDET, or Development
- Strong understanding of OOP concepts (Inheritance, Abstraction, Encapsulation, Polymorphism)
- Hands-on experience with automation and manual testing frameworks
- Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver with Java, TestNG, JUnit, Maven, and Cucumber
- Experience in API/Microservices/Integration testing using Postman or similar tools
- Knowledge of build management tools like Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, or Ansible
- Experience using Xray for test management in JIRA
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or TeamCity
- Experience working within Agile teams
- BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior development experience
- Basic Insurance knowledge
