QA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute manual test cases for features, integrations, and regression suites.
• Coordinate release management activities, including maintaining the release calendar and tracking dependencies.
• Prepare and validate release artifacts such as release notes, deployment checklists, and rollback procedures.
• Facilitate release readiness reviews and change control meetings between engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
• Lead defect triage, verify fixes, and confirm release acceptance criteria.
• Maintain test and release documentation and report quality metrics to inform go/no-go decisions.
• Support incident post-mortems and root-cause analysis for production issues related to releases.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of hands-on manual QA experience with strong black-box and integration testing skills.
• 3-5 years of exposure to release cycles or change-management activities.
• Proficiency in JIRA for writing test cases and recording defects.
• Basic SQL skills to query backend data and validate persistence.
• Strong understanding of the SDLC, release lifecycle, and defect triage processes.
• Fluency in Japanese (both spoken and written).
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
