QA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work as a senior member of a Scrum team to execute the overall quality plan for Charles River products
• Build next-generation software test automation infrastructure to enable automated product validation
• Create comprehensive test automation scripts from business requirements and functional specifications
• Execute manual and automated functional, integration, regression, and performance tests
• Maintain automated and manual test script libraries for multi-tier applications
• Interpret automation test results and document software defects in the issue tracking system
• Provide testing leadership by researching and recommending new approaches, including the use of Artificial Intelligence
• Guide and mentor junior staff in the proper creation of automated test scripts
• Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field
• Minimum 9 years of software testing experience within a process-driven technology environment
• Strong proficiency in Java programming for developing and maintaining automated test scripts
• Advanced SQL skills for data validation and debugging
• Hands-on experience designing and executing automated test scripts for web, desktop, API, and batch applications
• 5+ years of experience working with Agile development methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a technical field
• Experience in the financial services industry
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and data quality
• Familiarity with third-party data providers such as Bloomberg, Reuters, or MSCI
