About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API testing
- Execute automated regression and smoke test suites
- Perform API automation and validation including payloads, headers, and authentication
- Create and maintain UI automation scripts using reliable object locators and XPath
- Enhance automation frameworks and write reusable utilities
- Collaborate with developers and business analysts in Agile sprint ceremonies
- Report defects and support CI/CD execution and release validation
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Automation Testing
- Strong experience in API Testing and REST APIs
- Proficiency in Java scripting
- Strong XPath writing skills
- Deep understanding of JSON, HTTP methods, and status codes
- Experience with automation frameworks and regression strategies
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience with Katalon Studio
- Knowledge of Groovy scripting
- Experience with Postman, Jira, and Git
- Working knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and TDD/BDD concepts
- Experience in Banking or Lending domains
- Experience testing Desktop applications
