QA Automation Playwright - Lead

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated regression test suites using Java, BDD/Cucumber, Playwright, and SQL-based validations.
• Create reusable automation components for API, browser, database, file, and report validation scenarios.
• Convert functional requirements and acceptance criteria into Gherkin scenarios and automated test scripts.
• Support CI/CD integration for automated nightly execution and maintain stable, repeatable test suites.
• Integrate test execution outcomes with Jira/Xray and support defect analysis, evidence capture, and reporting.
• Provide technical leadership by guiding intermediate engineers, reviewing automation code, and enforcing standards.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and client QA teams within Agile ceremonies.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience in QA automation, preferably within banking, financial services, or capital markets.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java or C# automation.
• Deep proficiency with Playwright, BDD/Cucumber, and Gherkin.
• Proven experience in framework ownership, including enhancing reusable utilities, test data handling, and reporting.
• Strong skills in SQL, API testing, and database validation.
• Experience with CI/CD integration using tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, or Bamboo.
• Proficiency with Maven/Gradle, Git-based branching, and tools like Jira or Xray.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to REST Assured or Postman for API testing.
• Experience with Splunk or Kibana for log analysis.
• Knowledge of CyberArk or secure credential handling.
• Experience with cloud or on-prem test execution and test metrics reporting.
