QA Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and recommend suitable test automation tools and technologies based on project requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks to support efficient and reliable testing.
• Define and implement automation standards, best practices, and reusable solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and support to automation testers within the team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to integrate automation into the development lifecycle.
• Develop and execute mobile application automation using Appium.
• Perform performance testing using Apache JMeter to validate system scalability and reliability.
• Leverage modern LLMs and AI tools to build automation assistants that enhance testing efficiency.

Requirements

• 4-7 years of experience in test automation.
• Strong programming proficiency in Java, JavaScript, C#, or Python.
• Ability to develop automated scripts for UI, APIs, and databases (including SQL queries).
• Hands-on experience with Selenium (UI), Rest Assured (API), Appium (Mobile), and JMeter (Performance).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins.
• Strong knowledge of testing techniques and BDD with Cucumber.
• Experience testing microservices architecture.
• Ability to create and manage test plans, test strategies, and structured test cases.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Tester Test Automation Engineer (CT-TAE) or advanced ISTQB qualifications.
• Experience in automated testing of mobile applications.
• A degree in Computer Science or a similar computing subject.
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
