QA Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust UI automation frameworks using Playwright
• Perform functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and system testing for web applications
• Validate REST APIs and gRPC services, including request/response verification and contract validation
• Develop and execute automated API tests using Playwright or other frameworks
• Perform database validation by writing and executing SQL queries to verify data integrity
• Review business requirements and technical designs to define test strategies
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and daily stand-ups
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams

Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright using TypeScript
• Experience testing REST APIs and gRPC APIs/services
• Understanding of API protocols, JSON, Protocol Buffers (Protobuf), and HTTP/HTTP2
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Postman or gRPC clients
• Strong SQL skills for database testing and complex queries
• Experience with test automation framework design and maintenance
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and STLC
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
• Experience with Git and version control
