QA Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust, scalable, and maintainable automation test frameworks using Java + Selenium
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers in an Agile environment
• Create and maintain test scripts for UI, API, Integration, and Regression testing
• Lead automation efforts from scratch and improve existing test frameworks
• Analyze test results, debug issues, and work with development teams to resolve defects
• Ensure optimal test coverage and maintain high quality standards across the product

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in QA Automation with a strong focus on Java and Selenium WebDriver
• Expertise in building custom frameworks from scratch (e.g., TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, BDD/TDD)
• Strong understanding of OOPs concepts, Core Java, and design patterns in test automation
• Proficient in handling complex DOM structures, dynamic elements, waits, and synchronization
• Experience in REST API testing using tools like RestAssured, Postman, or similar
• Hands-on with version control systems like Git
• Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr)
• Good exposure to Agile/Scrum environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in performance testing tools like JMeter or Gatling
• Exposure to cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs)
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker
• Experience with BDD tools like Cucumber, Serenity, etc.
• Working knowledge of SQL and basic database testing
