QA Analyst

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain comprehensive QA artifacts including Test Strategies, Test Plans, and Test Scenarios.
• Execute manual and automated test cases covering functional, UI, API, integration, and regression testing.
• Perform backend validation using SQL queries, API responses, and system logs.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance testing efficiency, including test case creation and defect analysis.
• Use Playwright to automate functional tests and reduce manual testing efforts.
• Document defects clearly in Jira with detailed reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
• Collaborate with developers and product owners in Agile/Scrum environments to triage and resolve issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis and post-deployment smoke testing to ensure system stability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance testing complex applications and integrations.
• Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Proficiency in executing SQL queries for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Experience testing REST/SOAP APIs using tools such as Postman.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for test automation.
• Ability to leverage AI tools and effective prompting to improve QA workflows.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and defect management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD and deployment tools such as Bitbucket or Octopus.
• Familiarity with test management tools like TestRail.
• Experience testing complex business workflows across multiple integrated services.
