Python/AI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop an Agentic AI solution to generate investment insights from sales and research materials using advanced LLM capabilities.
• Work closely with business teams, analysts, and architects to understand requirements and identify system changes.
• Collaborate daily with development teams, designers, and other IT stakeholders.
• Design, build, and unit test functional enhancements while performing code peer reviews and refactoring.
• Provide technical recommendations to improve process efficiency and effectiveness.
• Produce design documentation suitable for both technical and client-facing audiences.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Python backend development skills with a focus on clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Experience in production API design and delivery (FastAPI preferred), including OpenAPI/Swagger and observability.
• Cloud experience (AWS preferred) including eventing, queues, serverless, and monitoring.
• Hands-on experience with AgentCore, AWS Neptune, and Amazon API Gateway.
• Proficiency with Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience building AI agents and implementing Vector databases and RAG patterns (indexing, chunking, embeddings, retrieval).
• Expertise in LLM integration (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) including prompt design, safety guardrails, and performance tuning.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with ML fundamentals such as tokenization, evaluation, and fine-tuning/LoRA.
• Frontend development experience with React and TypeScript.
• Understanding of event-driven architectures.
