Python Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of real-time marking, pricing, and market data platforms for the Rates Nonlinear trading desk.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and conduct thorough code reviews and debugging.
• Drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Own the technology agenda for the EMEA region, partnering with front office traders and quantitative research.
• Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives across Risk Technology and Market Data Technology platforms.

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Python and strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, and testing.
• Proven experience using AI-assisted software development tools for coding, review, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies (CI/CD, resiliency, security).
• In-depth knowledge of financial services IT systems and practical cloud-native experience.
• Experience working closely with front office traders or quantitative research in a markets environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building or supporting pricing, marking, market data, or risk platforms for a trading business.
• Strong cross-functional leadership skills with a track record of driving outcomes across multiple teams.
• Experience operating across global teams and regions with strong communication skills.
