Pyroanalysis Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform sample melting, fusion, and cupellation processes
• Coordinate production activities to ensure quality, production targets, and health and safety standards are met
• Execute routine pyroanalysis tasks independently and teach basic procedures to others
• Maintain and support pyroanalysis inventory
• Perform assays in the absence of the FT1
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and perform routine maintenance
• Apply products and methods correctly in accordance with safety rules and procedures

Requirements

• Diploma in chemistry or an equivalent field
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French
• Strong attention to detail and ability to control chemical reactions in pyrognostic assays
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in pyrognostic assay sample preparation
• Knowledge of geology
